Leona Lewis tipped for Oscar nomination

Alot of the websites are buzzing today with the news that Leona Lewis could have 2 songs in the running for the 'Best Original song' at this years Oscars.

Leona's track Happy is from Oprah Winfrey / Mariah Carey movie 'Precious' and she also recorded the theme song 'I see you' to the upcomming movie 'Avatar' which will be released December 15th.

Leona Lewis tells the Daily Star:

"I'm just so proud of it (Happy) , 'cos I wrote it, and to be associated with a film like Precious, which is about trying to overcome troubles and trials in your life. I'm glad that someone got that message,"

"I only saw a half-hour clip of the film Avatar, it's not finished yet but it's insane,  I heard the song - great lyrics, very, very epic. So I went in and I did it. And then they played it to James and he phoned me up and said: 'Oh, my God. I love you!' He's so cool. I had this perception that he was going to be totally untouchable and unreachable. But he's just like your nice uncle. He's lovely."
Leona's song 'My Hands' from her new album 'Echo' has also been chosen as the theme song for the upcomming new Final Fantasy game.
